October 2020 Update

Freedom Sisterhood Style Class

Hello friends!

Wow, what a year. I mean, what. a. year.

Where do I even begin?

I do believe it’s been since March that I’ve filmed a YouTube video. MARCH, people. As soon as COVID hit, I was tasked with the impossible responsibility of homeschooling my children while wrangling our 8-week old corgi puppies. There were days where I didn’t get out of my pajamas until 3:00 in the afternoon. It was like having a newborn all over again!

March turned to April, which turned to May, which has now rolled into October. And I have yet to film another YouTube video.

For a while, it was a matter of lack of content. I didn’t have anything to write.

Now, I have more to say, but we are in the middle of the most complicated real estate situation, um, ever, and I have about zero energy to sit down and put my thoughts on paper.

That’s why I thought writing a blog post would help get my writing train rolling again!

Here are some life updates since I last sat down at the camera.

I’ve become a minivan mom. Yes, it’s true. The “I’ll drive a minivan over my dead body” girl voluntarily chose to get a van. And I am obsessed. Literally. Obsessed. It goes very fast, and it is very smooth, and I may have gotten my first speeding ticket since high school this morning.

(Spoiler alert: I did.)

We have had not one, not two, but THREE commercial real estate contracts fall through at the nth hour, leaving us office-less and working from home, where my days blend into my nights, and I am going cross-eyed from staring at the paint in my makeshift office/guest bedroom.

Which brings me to my next significant bit of news:

Instead of buying a commercial office building (because obviously, after 3 contracts, God is trying to tell us something), we will be building a brand new office and film studio.

Yes. I know. Big job. Lots of time. Lots of money. (Hopefully, not lots of stress.) The plans are underway, and we have a contract on a piece of land. PRAY FOR US!

We’ve decided to turn our office/studio build into a series for my YouTube channel. You can look forward to that over the upcoming months!

I hope you are all doing well and that you’ve found some humor in these past few months because Lord knows we’ve needed it. Can we say goodbye to 2020 yet?

Moving on!

XOXO,

Whitney
